Which photo gets your vote?

Votes which are accompanied by some reasoning - a comment on framing, composition, angle, palette, editing, lighting, or whatever seems relevant - count for twice as much as those which lack it! Do you find this valuable?

My favourite was probably the one of the cat looking up to its left because its in HQ and is very sharp and the eye of the cat is awesome.
:) either that or the one of like...the bridge in the night with the buildings in the background because the colours are really pretty.

I think that the photo of Times Square was the best because it captured the movement and energy of the area. The focal points are also leading from one to the other, enhancing the flow of the shot.

I like the picture taken in a tunnel (?) with a light coming through from the top.
I like how they took the photo in a low angle which makes the light seem higher. The black and white effect made the photo much more mysterious.

I think the first one was the best, the one with candles and cups. because I think that that picture kinda fades out at the back but the candles t the front brings the focus back, and I find this really affective. Do you find this valuable?

Out of the selection of photos, my favourite would have to be the one with all the different watches. I think the colours are very eye catching and there is a nice contrast between them, I also think it is an extremely unusual photo which makes it very interesting. In the photo, the photographer is in the photo because it is taken in a mirror, i think this adds effect to the photo. Do you find this valuable?

I liked the photo with the candles, it looks really professional. I think that the use of vertical composition was a good idea, to show how far the candles go. In a way there are leading, as the candles are lined in an orderly fashion that makes your eyes look at where they are going. The photo has obviously been cropped, as there are no extra things in the foreground/background. The photo is not colourful, and only really has two colours but this has a good effect on the mood. i like the photo with the blue marble on the book. I think that the way the light is cast over the book is really effective. I also like the way that the person taking the picture has managed to get the marble, in side the three lines on the rule of thirds. Do you find this valuable?

I think that the photo where there is sunlight through some trees is the best one. This is because of the focus on the light to make it look as if its the galaxy. Do you find this valuable?

My favorite picture was the photo of times square. The reason why I think this is the best photo is because, it uses many different media effects, for example it uses rules of three, all the taxis are on a power line. Also it off centers the main point of the taxis. Then the line of taxis and road attract you down the photo, but then the lights make you look at the rest of the photo.

I think the picture with a few snooker balls is probably the best because the photographer used selective focus, framing, low angle shot and fore ground. Do you find this valuable?

I liked the one with the cards as there is a lot of depth to the photograph. They also used selective focus, bringing our attention to the single card on the table and making it slightly different to the cards on the floor. I also like how it seems to have a deeper meaning than just plain cards. They have also used the rule of thirds slightly, with the bottom right corner of the highest card on a power point and the subject being off center. I also like the black and white effect with the slightly desaturated brown because it makes the subjects stick out more.
I think it could have been improved with better lighting and a bit of editing (brightness/contrast, levels, unsharp mask).

My favourite picture was the one with the marble on the book, as I like how the marble reflects onto the book. I also like the angle the photo's taken at so you can read some of the words on the page as the few words that show seem very significant and seem like they have a deeper meaning. i liked the picture because the photographer used selective focus to blur out the balls in the background. also, the balls that are focused are right in the middle. they also reflect a the lighting of the room. the picture is very simple, with few colours used. Do you find this valuable?

My favourite picture was the one with the fabrics in different colours.
I like how the different colours goes together, placed side by side. Another thing that I find special in the picture is that the subject itself is acting as a leading line, that goes from left to right.

i thought that the photo of the cat and in the pink collar looking off to the distance was best because it made you think, what is that cat looking at? the lighting is very nice, it's bright and not gloomy. It was taken at an interesting angle, right up close but not right in the face of the cat, the photographer has also used power lines or the photo and half of the photo is the cat (the object). I like the palette that has been used in this photo, the colours are all very neutral/plain except frm the collar, so the collar stand out and catches your eye. I don't think there was much editing doen apart from boosting the colours, of cropping which makes it a simple but interesting photograph. Do you find this valuable?

Out of all the pictures shown in the slideshow, my favourite is the picture of the knocked over jar with sweets scattered outside it..
The reason this picture caught my attention was because of the intense and bright colours used on each sweet. This gave the whole picture a great contrast, with the plain white background and vivid colours in the foreground. Also, I reckon the placement of all the objects in the frame was very well thought out and really made all the elements of the image 'agree' with each-other.

The best photo would have to be the blue marble on the book because it stands out from the book. You can also see the reflection of the marble on the book. I think that the photographer has put a lot of thought into the angle of the camera, how the photo will be taken. Also the photo is taken in such a way that you can see the words from the book which is very effective. Do you find this valuable?
