We are going to use the coverage of this story to highlight how press coverage can sometimes (usually? necessarily?) be REDUCTIVE and SIMPLISTIC.
Remind yourself of some NARRATIVE THEORY. Download the document linked to at the bottom of the page if you need a refresher (and you do!)
Look also at a typical week's series of front pages from The Star. Is the paper trying to give the McCann story 'legs'? Are they trying to construct a narrative? Why would they do this?
